Things I'm Thankful For
In no certain order, here are ten things that I'm thankful for today.
1. My church. I love ACC more than you can imagine.
2. My wife's patience. I'd be sunk without it! Can I get an "Amen" from ever husband who's reading this!
3. I have yet to pay $4.00 for a gallon of gas. I've paid $3.99, but so far I haven't crossed the $4.00 threshold. I know it's only a penny's difference, but it feels like a moral victory to me.
4. Barack Obama is not my savior.
5. John McCain is not my savior.
6. My family. Words cannot express how much I love them.
7. ACC's elders. They rock!
8. Chicken and noodles. Nicki made a huge batch over the weekend. Wow!
9. My buddy, Dave, gave me a coupon for a free iced coffee at Starbucks every Wednesday this month. Booyah!
10. There is nothing I can do to make God love me more. There is nothing I can do to make God love me less. Same is true for you!
What do you have to be thankful for today? If your answer is, "nothing," then you need to stop right now. Drop everything and do a little life inventory. You are blessed more than you know. You just need to take the time to realize it.

VBS - July 27-31
It’s VBS time again for ages K-6th grade!!! This year we are going to see how God demonstrates His power through PowerLab. We will be meeting July 27-31 so make sure you tell all of your friends and get registered at www.ameliachurchofchrist.com.
Our mission this year is the Food Bank at Grace and Mercy Center. We will be collecting canned goods, peanut butter, jelly, spaghetti and spaghetti sauce for the homeless in our area so stock up and start collecting. We are also going to have “Dress Up Contests” each night.
Sunday night-Backwards Night
Monday night - Wacky Hair Night
Tuesday night - Scripture night - (Wear Scripture somewhere attached to you. If you can quote the Scripture without reading it, you will receive a special prize from the prize box.)
Wednesday night-Mad Scientist Night (Bring out your favorite Mad Scientist costume)
Thursday night - Grand Finale Night
Want to help with VBS? We still need donations for snacks. Please see the donation board in the foyer for items available to donate.
VBS Meeting
There will be a mandatory meeting for all VBS volunteers in the auditorium immediately following the 11:00 service this Sunday.
