Life. Money. Hope. It’s no mystery that our nation’s economy is struggling. Everywhere you look, you see politicians, reporters, etc. declaring that the sky is falling. Is it really? Is there hope available in this recession? Yes there is! Our church has a unique and exciting opportunity coming in June. Starting June 7, world-famous financial expert, Dave Ramsey, is going to be preaching in our services via video. He will be laying out some common sense, Biblical principles that have the power to change your family’s economy…and your family’s life. Be sure to mark June 7, 14, & 21 on your calendar. You don’t want to miss a single week of this powerful and practical message of hope. Parking Lot Project Our parking lot is in need of repair. We are currently collecting final estimates for the project. We normally take up a special offering on Easter. We did not do that this year because we were waiting for the parking lot project. Later this summer, all ACCers will receive a letter detailing the project dates and costs. We will also let you know when we will be collecting a special offering for the project. For now, we simply ask you to prayerfully consider what sacrifices you can make so you can give toward this project. It will be an exciting and much-needed facelift to our church’s campus. Worship Team Applications & Auditions Every year our Worship Ministry holds auditions for church members to serve in various positions on our worship teams. Applications are available in the church foyer for those who are interested. The deadline to pick these forms up is June 21st and the application must be submitted no later than July 12th. Auditions will be held on July 19th for those who qualify. You may submit your completed application to either Brian morrissey or Josh Young. If you are currently serving on our worship teams, there is no need to resubmit another application. Luminous Student Ministries Challenging --> Growing --> Sending NEXUS - May 31st, 2009 Our next episode of Nexus is this coming Sunday evening and it will begin at 6:30pm. This episode will be a little different than your normal flavor of Nexus in a very special way as we will discuss the role of the Holy Spirit. Rockin' worship, a game and the contest of let's make a deal will see someone go home with a pretty cool prize, so don't miss out. If you're a Jr/ Sr High Student, this night is for you. We'll see you Sunday from 6:30 to 8:30pm. CIY MOVE - June 15th - 20th, 2009 All students and parents of students who are travelling to CIY this summer, please pay attention to this announcement. Your final CIY letter will be arriving in the mail this week. Enclosed, you will find a detailed schedule of the week that we will be attending, plus important information on what to bring and what not to bring. Enclosed, you will also find the amount your student owes the church for their final payment and whether or not he/she has turned in their medical release form to Brian. See you then!Amelia KidZone SPORTS CAMP VOLUNTEER MEETING THIS SUNDAY, MAY 31. We are having a meeting immediately following second service this Sunday for ALL Sports Camp volunteers. Every aspect of sports camp will be explained so it is very important to make every effort to be there. We are asking families to donate 100 bottles of water. If you are able to donate, please sign a water bottle on the bulletin board. SPORTS CAMP REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS SUNDAY, MAY 31. If you have not registered, please do so ASAP! You don’t want to miss this! GLOW (all girls grades 3-8) - Our meeting this month will be June 9, (this is a Tuesday) and our Plug ‘N Play day is June 12.
