The Connection |
What a Month! What a month! Our Simple Church series was amazing, full of big news and even bigger vision. The excitement and energy was off the chart. Our church is fully behind our vision of Connecting, Growing, Serving. But now that the vision has been cast, the real work begins. I want to keep our church family updated on what is happening. Our search for a part-time Student Minister is underway. We've already received several resumes. Please pray for God's leading and direction in this search. Once that search is completed and our Student Minister is hired, we will begin the process of moving Brian Morrissey into his new role on our staff. Brian will become our Worship & Small Groups Minister once the new staff member is ready to take the reins of the Student Ministry. Dave Hubert has also joined our staff as our Minister of Involvement. This is an unpaid staff position, but it is a real and necessary position nonetheless. Serving is the critical final step in our vision and I'm excited that Dave is going to lead us into a deeper level of service and ministry. Our vision is very simple, which means that we will be evaluating everything our church does and does not do.Everything must align with the vision. It's imperative that we keep things simple. As we've been saying all month, it's not about how many programs we have or how many things we can do. It's not about doing good things. It's about doing God things. And sometimes the only way to focus on God things is to say no to good things. Implementing the vision of Connecting, Growing, Serving is going to be a process. Several things must fall into place before the vision will be fully up and running. But we know where we're going. We know the vision that God has given our church. And that means that greater things are coming! In His Love, Mike Pino Neglia at ACCPino is our missionary in Italy and Albania (Lecce Christian Mission). He will be at ACC on Sunday, November 1 at 6:30 PM. Pino is a fun, and very passionate guy who loves Jesus more than anything. If you’ve never heard him speak, you’re missing out. Don’t miss this special evening! I Love My Church![]() ACC is an amazing church. Just ask our people.
