It will be very interesting to see if this new plan works to keep fans in line. But what about the players? With Eric Steinbach’s arrest earlier this week, the total now stands at five Bengals players who have been arrested during the off-season. Where’s the “jerk” hotline for this? The Bengals have become a national laughingstock because of the conduct of a few players. I can’t imagine what fans in opposing stadiums will do this season. I can already see them showing up in prison uniforms. The team is getting lambasted in the national and international media. The entire team is suffering because of five people who have made stupid choices. We can never forget that we’re a part of a team. We are all interconnected. The choices we make always reflect back on our church and on our God. That reflection can be positive or it can be negative. Unfortunately it only takes a few negatives to make an entire team look bad. Just ask the Bengals. In His Love, Mike

The Bengals have a new “jerk” hotline ready for the upcoming season. If someone is at a Bengals game and there is an unruly or vulgar fan in their area, they can call 381-JERK on their cell phone and report the fan to Bengals security. The stadium officials will find the individual on a security camera and they will then determine if the fan is to be removed from the game and stripped of his season tickets.
