Student Minister Search Under Way
ACC Student Minister Thayer Wallace announced Sunday that he'll be leaving Amelia as of March 27 to follow God's call on his life. A junior at Cincinnati Christian University, Thayer said God is calling him away from student ministry and toward preaching.
It was an emotional morning both for Thayer and our Jr./Sr. High students who have grown to know and love him over the last year. Thayer thanked ACC and particularly the leadership team for the opportunity to lead our students. We want to thank him for the impact he has made.
ACC has already begun its search for Thayer's replacement and will be posting the position soon. Please be praying that God brings us another excellent candidate.
The Song of Solomon: Passion, Sex and Marriage
Don't miss the final two weeks of our Song of Solomon series. The Song of Solomon is a book in the Old Testament dedicated completely to the passionate love affair of a husband and a wife. This past week was aimed directly at helping men in marriage. If you missed it, check out the podcast. This Sunday, however, is specifically for the ladies. Leadership Team Heading to Unleash
A group of nine members of our staff, elders and deacons are heading to the Unleash Conference at NewSpring Church in Anderson, SC, March 9-11. This is the fourth straight year our church has attended this amazing conference of thousands of church leaders from across the country. Please be praying God does a powerful work among ACC's team.
Sports Camp is June 20-24
It isn't too early to get ACC's Sports Camp on your family's summer calendar. Sports Camp is the biggest outreach our church does all year. For the last two years, we have offered an awesome Christ-centered sports camp at Batavia Township Park for elementary age youth from across our community. Please plan to send your kids and be part of our army of volunteers June 20-24.
CIY is June 13-17
If you have a teen, make plans now to get them onboard with ACC's Christ in Youth Conference trip set for June 13-17. More details to come.
