Jonah Starts SundayIf you grew up in the church, then you know the story of Jonah. If you didn't, you may still know this story. It's one of the most famous stories in the Bible. But sometimes a story can be too well-known. For some of us, we may know the story of Jonah so well that it has lost its power. In this three-week series, we're going to reclaim the power of this story. The encouragement and the warnings in this story will come alive in this series. Check out Mike's Jonah preview on his blog. Are you someone who wants to serve at church but maybe leading a small group or teaching a Sunday school class isn't your gift? We've got plenty of areas of service to choose from that are behind the scenes and just as crucial to our vision. We need a few hands-on folks to help out with buildings and grounds responsibilities. If you have a little extra time this summer, we still have a few open spots for folks to jump in and help us cut the grass. And we also need a volunteer or two to take on changing the sign message out front for each new sermon series.
