Christmas Series Starts This Sunday
Get Your Tickets for Christmas EveOur Christmas Eve services have become one of the biggest opportunities ACC has all year to reach our community for Christ. And this year, we are doing it bigger than ever. In an effort to reach the most people from our community, ACC will be holding identical Christmas Eve services Saturday Dec. 24 at 10:30 a.m. and 9 p.m. Please plan to pickup your family's free tickets beginning this Sunday. While tickets will not be collected at the door and no one will be turned away, it is important that we know how many are coming to each service to allow us to plan. These services will include all the elements of a Sunday morning, including full children's programming. Bring your family and friends and experience a worship service that opens with a huge celebration and closes with a soft candlelit reflection on a God that loves us enough to send His Son. We will not be meeting on Christmas morning Sunday, Dec. 25. Watch Mike's full explanation of our vision for ACC's Christmas season. Move NewsOur full leadership team is busy diving into the work that needs to be done to determine if our church will be able to relocate down the street to the old Mattress Store. Please continue to pray as we meet with contractors, realtors, bankers, etc. Many questions must be answered before ACC forwards a lease offer on the building. Catch up on this and other big news we celebrated at our Congregational Meeting. Help a Needy ChildDon't forget to stop by the board in the foyer and pick up a tag to purchase an item for a needy child from our community. Gifts need to be wrapped and returned by Dec. 11. Your gift could make all the difference for a child. See Nancy Gates with questions. Donate Gently Used ToysYour kids may be asking if they can donate some of their toys to area children this Christmas season. ACC's KidZone is collecting gently used toys to donate to nearby charities as part of their "Gratitude and Attitude" series. All toys should be brought to church by Dec. 11. Contact Marie Young with questions. Student Ministries Programming NotesOur junior and senior high students will be wrapping up the "Ten Tough Questions" semester this Sunday and celebrating with a Christmas pizza party from 5:00-7:00PM Dec. 11. Bring a $3 gift to exchange. After Dec. 11, Student Ministries will take a break from Sunday nights until the next semester starts Jan. 22. ACC Students Offer Free Sitting Dec. 11Our junior and senior high Student Ministries would also like to help ACC parents by offering them a few hours to wrap presents, shop, bake, etc. while their children have fun with our students. Parents can drop their 4-year-old thru 5th grade students off at the church on Dec. 11 from 1:30-5:00PM. Note: Ohio 125 will close at 2 p.m. for the Amelia Christmas parade, so parents will want to drop and go to avoid the traffic. We will have a "Polar Express" themed party for the kids that includes the movie, cookies, hot chocolate and crafts. Send them in their pj's for an afternoon of fun. Contact Nicki Edmisten by Dec. 5 to sign your child(ren) up for the event. Hurry, this is limited to the first 25 children who register to make sure we have adequate student and adult supervision. Payment Due for CIY BelievePlease let Nicki Edmisten know as soon as possible if your junior high child will be attending the CIY Believe Conference Feb. 24-25 in Northern Kentucky so she can begin planning. The cost is $70 and includes an overnight hotel stay. The first $50 is due by Dec. 5. Grieving During the Holidays? On Sunday, Dec. 4, Nurre Funeral Home in Bethel will be offering a seminar entitled "Grieving During The Holidays" featuring Chaplain Charles Roberts. Christmas is a time of joy. That's the hype surrounding the holiday, anyway. For many people, it seems to have the opposite effect. Studies tell us that many people struggle with fear, worry, discouragement, stress, and depression more at Christmas than any other time of year. It's because we are searching for things that no holiday season can deliver. In this series based on Isaiah 9:6, we're going to explore four different things that people are searching for...and how they are always found in Jesus. Our
