NUMB3RS

There's a popular show on CBS called NUMB3RS. After a great Easter weekend, I wanted to talk about NUMB3RS, church style.

Easter weekend was a wonderful time in the ACC family. It started with Maryanna Sinenko's baptism on Saturday. Hard to get a better start to the weekend than with a baptism! And then it capped off with two great services on Sunday morning.

We had 205 people in attendance on Sunday. We had several first time guests. Many of our guests had stellar comments after the service. We're praying to see them return to our church again.

Interestingly, since we're talking about numbers (excuse me, NUMB3RS), our attendance on Easter last year was 162. We had 163 people in attendance on April 1 of this year. When your Easter attendance one year becomes your average attendance the next year, you are on a very aggressive growth pattern. We're not quite averaging in the 160's yet, but we're close.

Now, a word about all this talk regarding numbers. We don't focus solely on numbers, but numbers do represent souls. While our attendance will never be the barometer of our church's health, it is one way to gauge how well we're carrying out our mission. The reason I wanted to share these numerical statistics with you is because it is a very encouraging sign for ACC.

I believe that we are in the sweet spot of God's blessing. It's a fun, exciting, and sometimes scary place to be, but that's where we are. I'm praying for us to have the courage to keep chasing down more and more blessings!

CIY SUMMER CONFERENCE 2007 - "ONES" - July 23rd - 28th
THIS SUNDAY IS THE DEADLINE TO REGISTER YOUR STUDENT!!!!!!
Our summer conference registration is open and in full force. This year we are travelling to Carbondale, IL and if you would like your student to be a part of this unforgettable experience of a lifetime, you need to submit their name along with a $75.00 deposit to Brian by April 15th. If you do not have a student in the youth ministry department but would like to send one to CIY anyway, you may make a donation to offset a student's trip. The full registration is $250.00. If the Lord is leading you to make a donation to a student, please see Brian.

Q&A SERIES
The premise of this series is simple. Everyone has questions. We all have questions about God, about how we're called to live, about the Bible, about eternity, etc. If you have a question you've been wondering about, submit it to Mike via email (mike@ameliachurchofchrist.com), or give it to him personally. Throughout this series, we'll explore the Bible as we search to answer some of the questions we collect.

CHAPEL SERVICE - Sunday, April 15th - 6:00 pm
Chapel Service will feature keyboard and organ instrumentation as we sing the hymns of the church. This service will be for those looking to deepen their biblical knowledge and spiritual walk. There will be an extended prayer time as well as scriptural readings and a message from God's Word.

CWF MEETING - Monday, April 16th - 7:00 pm
Ladies, join us for a Christian Women's Fellowship meeting Monday night at Marylou Riggenbach's home.  See Marylou for directions.

GOLDEN AMBASSADORS - Thursday, April 19th
The Golden Ambassadors are meeting at Cracker Barrel for brunch at 10:00 am on Thursday, April 19th. Those going to the Ronald McDonald House will be leaving from there.

AREA CHRISTIAN WOMEN'S FELLOWSHIP - Thursday, April 19th - 6:30 pm
Bethel Church of Christ is hosting the Area Women's Fellowship. The cost is $7.00 per person.  Reservations are due by Friday, April 13th.
