As you know, Jessie Lee had returned to the United States on July 27, 2010, after 57 years of serving God’s Kingdom in Italy.
The National Missionary Convention had scheduled a banquet in honor of Jessie Lee. Just minutes before it was to begin, on Friday, November 19, at 12noon in Lexington, KY, the Lord called her to another banquet in her honor, being held at His table in paradise!
I was helpless as I witnessed her sudden passing. Hundreds of dismayed brothers and sisters witnessed the event.
She is now happy, she is radiant before the Lord... I have a deep emptiness in my heart, as do all that experienced the pleasure of living near her, of drawing from her example of Christian living.
Jesse Lee was a sister that lived the Christian life in humility, with sweetness and passion. She was an extraordinary example of standing firm on the Word of God, yet lovingly compassionate; never compromising the Word of God, and yet being full of understanding and tenderness.
She was a woman that dedicated all her life to the evangelization and the salvation of souls in Italy. Our debt toward her and the various missionaries that dedicated their lives to missionary work in Italy is and will always be immesurable. Their names are written in heaven, and for us Italians will always be unforgettable: Guy and Thelma Mayfield, Mac and Wilma Coffey, Charles and Mary Francis Phipps, Roy and Barbara Godsberry, Chuck and Jessie Lee Troyer.
Immediately upon my return to Italy, the Church of Christ in Lecce organized and held a memorial service in honor of Jessie Lee, which took place on Saturday afternoon, November 27. It was wonderful with lot tiers, but with Joy for her that she is with the Lord
I like to think that Jessie Lee (lover of music and of playing hymns to His glory) is now in God’s presence, playing on a sublime organ, glorifying our loved and adored King of Kings, Creator and Lord of the universe; and Chuck, with his extraordinary tenor voice, is singing, “Glory, Halleluiah!!!”
Till we meet again, Jesse Lee!

Thoughts from Jessie Lee's Son
My Mom, Jessie Lee Troyer, went home November 19th. About 11:50 a.m., she was
entering the dining room at the National Missionary Convention in Lexington, Kentucky where she was to be recognized for her service to the Lord in Italy for 57 years with Pino Neglia, the local evangelist, a ... "son" to her and brother to me and my siblings, when she suddenly felt
weak.
She sat down and told him that she did not feel well and shortly collapsed. A nurse who was passing by checked her vital signs and said she felt almost no pulse.
Emergency personnel rushed her to the University of Kentucky Medical Center Emergency Room where they determined that she was no longer with us. She was 86 and a half years old.
She leaves behind her sister-in-law Freda Osgatharp of Evansville, my older brother Bob in Cincinnati, my younger brother Rick in Long Beach, my sister Vicki and her husband, Valerio and daughter Valentina of Grumo, Italy, her son in the Lord, Pino Neglia and his wife Evelina and son Giulio of Lecce, Italy, and me along with Judi of Oklahoma City, my son Josh and his wife Sonya and their six children, Nolen, Kellen, Jalen, Deakon, Mikalen and Ariana in Tampa, Jonathan and his wife Lora and Gavin and Levi in Cincinnati, JoAnna in Huntington Beach, Jeremy and his wife Kristin in Knoxville, and Jeff in Cincinnati.
Mom lived a life dedicated to God and lived it fully enjoying every moment to the end. I
spoke with her for over an hour last Saturday, and though this is a bit sudden, I am at peace and comforted knowing that she has gone home and is enjoying the presence of God. She now sees face to face the substance of her hope, the one for whom she lived her earthly life, what her life was all about
