We'll be having a bonfire on Sunday, Oct. 17 from 5 to 8pm at the church. Everyone's invited. Come and hang out with your church family as we enjoy the fall weather and munch on snacks and cider together.

Ladies, help us celebrate the upcoming arrival of Marie and Josh Young's baby.

We'll be having cake and drinks @ 2pm Sunday, Oct. 24, at the church. The Youngs are registered at Target and Babies"R"Us or Toys"R"Us. Marie is due Jan. 9.

Over the last two semesters combined, we have had more than 80 percent of our people sign up for a Small Group. Currently, we are running six full groups with at least eight or more participants attending each.

God is really moving in our Small Group ministry to build relationships between people in our church and grow them in a way they never thought possible. Small Groups are crucial to our Connecting, Growing and Serving vision.

Our current groups will run through November, and our next registration period starts in December.

The Amelia Church of Christ parking lot will be closed to all traffic Monday through Saturday (Sept. 13 through Sept. 18) this week to allow for repairs, re-sealing and re-striping.

The lot will open again on Sunday, Sept. 19. We appreciate your understanding as we take this necessary step to improve our facility. And a special thanks to all those who made this project possible with your sacrificial giving.
