Who comes to mind when you hear the word “servant?” Do you think of a waitress in a restuarant? A butler working for some rich family? Those are usually the images that the word “servant” conjures up in our minds. But consider a new image for this word “servant”: Jesus. That’s not a typo or a misprint. Jesus, the Son of God, was the picture of servanthood. He modeled it for all to see. What’s more, he has called us to follow in his servant footsteps.

Developing a Servant’s Hearts is a 40-day journey that will turn your thinking about servanthood upside-down. God is issuing a servant challenge to all of us. Throughout this six-week series, we’ll be given a chance to respond.
