 Mike Edmisten

Mike joined the ministry of the Amelia Church of Christ as the Preaching Minister in January 2006. His primary responsibilities are preaching and teaching God's Word, providing spiritual and pastoral care for our church family, creating avenues to welcome those who have yet to accept Christ, and providing leadership and vision to carry our church into the future.
Mike is originally from Georgetown, OH. He graduated from Cincinnati Christian University in 1998. Before coming to Amelia, he ministered with the Bethlehem Church of Christ in Winchester, Ohio and the Woodland Heights Christian Church in Crawfordsville, Indiana. Mike married Nicki, his high school sweetheart, in 1997. He says, "I'm very happy to admit that I 'married up.'" Mike and Nicki were blessed with a son, Ryan, in June 2004, and another son, Brock, in December 2007.

Brian joined the ministry of the Amelia Church of Christ as the Youth/Worship Minister in May 2002. His primary responsibilities are developing and leading worship services and mentoring and growing the youth.
Brian is originally from Birmingham, AL. He graduated from San Diego State University in 2001. "Before coming to Amelia, I ministered at East Hills Christian Church in San Diego, CA where I met & married my beautiful wife Cara. We were blessed with a son, Joshua, in August of 2002."
 Melanie Presta
Children's Minister [ e-mail ]
Melanie joined Amelia Church of Christ in May of 2008 as the Children's Minister. Her primary responsibilities are developing and providing programs specifically for children ages birth - 5th grade to help children grow in faith from small to tall and to empower them to Stand up, Stand firm, and Stand out!
"First and foremost, I want kids to know the importance of having a personal relationship with God. I'm not satisfied with kids just learning about God. I want them to know Him and recognize Him and His characteristics. I also want to teach them tools/strategies to live as a Christian in this world despite its pressures and influences."
Melanie is originally from Paoli, IN. She attended Johnson Bible College in Knoxville, TN. Before coming to Amelia, Melanie ministered at Syria Christian Church in Orleans, IN and Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, KY. Melanie married her husband, Paul in 1997 at Southeast. God has blessed their household with 4 children: Adriana, Gianna, Lexie and Luke.
