Celebrating Sunday's Congregational Meeting
We celebrated a ton Sunday, Nov. 13, during our annual Congregational Meeting. In case you couldn't be there, here is a quick recap of the highlights from an amazing day and a blessed year:
We are pursuing a potential relocation for our church. (See prayer gathering video above.)
We have seen what may be a record number of Baptisms in 2011.
Our attendance is up 30 percent from last year.
The amended by-laws (now called Code of Regulations) were adopted.
Over the last year, 92 percent of our people have joined a Small Group. Look for offerings in Financial Peace University, Parenting, Marriage and Second Floor in 2012.
Our third annual Sports Camp registered 273 families, and we had more than 75 volunteers. Mark your calendar for June 10-15, 2012.
KidZone is continuing to grow and added a room for 2s and 3s this year. In 2012, our young people will be jumping into service projects.
Our junior and senior high Student Ministries has doubled in attendance under an all-volunteer staff. They are growing closer to Christ and one another through weekly studies, service projects and social events.
Our website has exceeded 10,000 unique visitors over the last year from all around the world.
Our Service ministry has identified dozens of service opportunities where you can plug in and serve at ACC. Contact coordinator Mike Morrissey.
All three deacons - Jim Willison, Phil Prather and Mike Cothran - were elected for three-year terms.
Our giving is far exceeding what we budgeted in 2011.
And to cap it all off, we had two more awesome families join our church. This only scratches the surface of all we have to be thankful for at ACC.
