Marie Young

Children's Minister [ e-mail | blog ]

marie.jpgMarie Young officially accepted the role of Children’s Minister in August 2010. After serving in an interim capacity for several months, we are so excited that God has chosen Marie for this permanent position!

Marie is one of our own. She and her husband, Josh, have been part of the ACC family for several years now. Josh is on our staff as our Creative & Communications Minister, and they're expecting their first little one in January!

Marie has been a part of Amelia KidZone for a long time. She has proven that she is very gifted and very passionate for this ministry. The kids in our church love her. She loves them. But most importantly, she loves Jesus and wants to teach our kids to love Him, too.

As the Children’s Minister at the Amelia Church of Christ, Marie works side by side with our staff of passionate volunteers, each of whom have been through thorough national background checks.  Marie and ACC are very serious about the safety of your children.

Josh Young

Creative & Communications Minister [ e-mail | blog ]

josh.jpgJosh officially joined the staff of the Amelia Church of Christ as the Creative & Communications Minister in July 2009. His primary responsibilities are overseeing all visual communications at ACC. This includes ACC's web presence, graphics for use on Sunday mornings, signage in the building, publications, etc.

Josh is originally from Winchester, OH. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2003 in Civil & Environmental Engineering, and he currently works for a Christian-based engineering firm in Cincinnati. Josh and his wife, Marie (who is our Children's Minister), have been serving at Amelia since early 2006. Josh is also very active in ACC's Worship Ministry and plays guitar each week in the band.

Interesting Factoid: Josh's Great-Great-Uncle, Walter Bolender, was one of the men instrumental in starting the Amelia Church of Christ back in the early 1950's.
